Sanctuary Program
Fabled Farm Rescue & Sanctuary provides lifelong care for senior and special-needs animals in Middle Tennessee who may not have another safe place to go. Located in Christiana, Tennessee, our Sanctuary Program gives rescued equines, farm animals and other animals with medical, physical, behavioral or age-related needs a safe place to land and a place to belong.
Every sanctuary resident is treated as an individual. Some need ongoing veterinary treatment or specialized diets. Others require mobility support, dental care, medication, farrier care, modified housing or simply the extra consideration that comes with growing older. Their comfort, quality of life and individual needs guide the care they receive.
Some animals who enter the Sanctuary Program may eventually become healthy enough for adoption. Others will remain at Fabled Farm for the rest of their lives. There is no timeline they have to meet and no expectation that they become something other than who they are. For our permanent residents, this is home.
Specialized Care for Animals Who Need More
Many animals arrive at Fabled Farm after their needs have become difficult to manage in a traditional home or adoption setting. Age, chronic medical conditions, disabilities, mobility challenges or other special needs may mean they require a different kind of care.
Our sanctuary residents receive individualized support that can include veterinary care, medications, specialized nutrition, dental and farrier care, mobility support, modified living spaces, enrichment and ongoing monitoring. As their needs change, their care changes with them.
We believe quality of life is about more than meeting medical needs. Sanctuary means having companionship, favorite routines, room to explore, people who know you, and the opportunity to simply enjoy being an animal.

A legacy of care, commitment, and love…
Fanta’s Fighter Fund exists for the animals whose care is more intensive and ongoing. The ones who need daily hands on support, physical therapy, specialized feeding, frequent veterinary oversight, and often care from multiple specialists. These are the animals who, like Fanta, show up every day with quiet determination and an incredible will to keep going.
Because of Fanta, we are reminded that saying yes is only the beginning. True care continues in the days, weeks, and months that follow. It requires presence, adaptability, and the willingness to walk alongside an animal for as long as they need.
This fund ensures that we can continue to say yes to animals like him. Not just in the moment they are rescued, but for everything that comes after.
And in that way, Fanta’s story continues.
