S’more & Churro
Intake Date: 6/16/23
Age: 2.5 years
Breed: Nigerian Dwarf Goat
If you have ever lived with a toddler, then you know what life is like with adorable baby goats, S'more & Churro!
S'more arrived at rescue after having been trampled by his herd. He was left with neurological issues and blind in one eye. We immediately started physical therapy to help him regain balance and movement. He has progressed so far and now can run and play!
We knew S'more would need a long term buddy to help him navigate the world, and we heard about Churro. He was smaller than he should be and couldn't remain safely with his herd.
It was love at first meeting for these two and they have been inseparable ever since! They are part of the Education Program and are rock stars at public events.
Favorite Things: Getting into trouble and eating things they shouldn’t eat
Piper McChompers
Intake Date: 5/6/24
Age: 1 year
Breed: Domestic Shorthair
Yes, her full name is Piper McChompers, she was very bitey when she first arrived!
Piper arrived at Fabled Farm after having been attached by a dog at only a few weeks old. Her face was badly damaged in the attack resulting in the need for several facial reconstructive surgeries. Thankfully her eye was able to be saved, but she did lose all of her teeth on one side.
Piper made best friends with a tiny sad kitten that arrived named Buttons...so Buttons has stayed as part of Piper's support team.
Piper will continue to receive surgeries as needed as she continues to grow. Because of this she and Buttons are remaining at Fabled Farm as our Shop Cats! They love greeting visitors, getting lots of pets, and supervising the farm from the window.
Favorite Things: Getting all of the attention, playing with toys, and watching birds on YouTube
Peebles Piggles
Intake Date: 1/30/25
Age: 1 year
Breed: Farm Pig Mix
Peebles intake was a true emergency!
We learned about Peebles being abused in a domestic violence situation. His tail had been cut off and part of his back hoof. He was having seizures from malnutrition, barely conscious, and was in grave danger.
We provided immediate medical care and months of physical therapy to help Peebles heal. Now at over 300lbs, Peebles is a happy, playful piggie who just wants all the kisses, belly rubs, and pets! He is a pig ambassador to farm visitors and new piglet arrivals.
Due to the potential for long term issues as he continues to grow (farm pigs grow to 700lbs or more) Peebles will remain in the Fabled Farm Sanctuary Program.
Favorite Things: Belly rubs, playing in the mud, and getting all of the snacks possible
Cotton Candy
Intake Date: 9/27/20
Age: 7 years
Breed: Nigerian Dwarf Goat
Get ready to meet the most friendly goat in the world...Cotton Candy!
This sweetheart was one of the very first goats in the Fabled Farm program. She arrived blind in one eye and with a hip deformity.
She might walk a little wonky, but it doesn't slow her down in the least! Cotton is always at the gate ready for treats or pets.
Cotton is part of the Fabled Farm Education Program and helps visitors learn about goats! She will also show off her famous painting skills and has custom artwork for sale.
Cotton receives special hoof trims to help her walk more comfortably and joint supplements.
Favorite Things: Pets, cedar branches, and animal crackers
Fanta
Intake Date: 8/14/25
Age: 6 months
Breed: Domestic Medium Hair
He's a special little dude!
After being found alone, Fanta arrived at Fabled Farm at 4 weeks old, weighing only 0.8lbs. He was barely eating and very weak.
After five months of specialized feeding, physical therapy, and many doctors visits Fanta has improved. Unfortunately he does have some long term disabilities. We are continuing research and exploring different medical options as he grows to ensure he has the best quality of life.
Fanta loves cuddles, play time, and constantly changing his mind about which food he wants to eat on a daily basis. Fanta will stay as part of our Sanctuary Program so he can receive all needed care.
Favorite Things: Cuddles, his cactus scratcher, and changing his mind about food
Bitty Boo
Intake Date: 11/17/23
Age: 10 years
Breed: Pot Belly Pig
Bitty broke our hearts!
Bitty's hooves were overgrown and twisted under her feet. She was so overweight she could hardly see and could only stand for a minute.
We worked with our vets on a diet to help her lose enough weight to sedate her for her spay, tusk trim, and a more thorough hoof trim. By examining her teeth, our vet learned she was 9 years old instead of 4 as we were told.
Bitty was so sad when she arrived and missed her home. Pigs are very emotional creatures and don't handle moves well. Once she was well enough, we introduced her to Percy Piggles, and they helped each other heal. Due to her age and health concerns, Bitty Boo will remain in the Fabled Farm Sanctuary Program.
Favorite Things: Exploring, snacks, and dinner time
Kit Kat
Intake Date: 9/5/22
Age: 3 years
Breed: Nubian Goat
Kit Kat is a miracle!
Kit Kat arrived at the rescue having to be propped up with straw bales, unable to stand.
The x-rays showed a shattered pelvis and a shattered femur head. Her injuries had happened months previously and the bones had healed as best they could. This poor girl had endured whatever trauma caused the injury and healed without any medical treatment. Our vet said euthanasia would be a kindness...but she was fighting to stand...so we decided to take a chance and do physical therapy and pain management.
Soon she was walking, then running, and now she jumps, plays, and chases the other goats
Favorite Things: Running, jumping, chasing, and playing with the other goats, and eating cedar branches
Marshmallow
Intake Date: 3/27/24
Age: 2 years
Breed: Katahdin Sheep
Does she want a treat? Of course she wants a treat!!
Marshmallow ended up at the University of Tennessee Large Animal Veterinary Hospital needing an emergency c-section and having urine and rectal prolapses.
Sadly the vets were unable to save the babies and Marshmallow had to spend a month at the vet hospital recovering from all her procedures. Her previous owner was leaving a domestic violence situation and couldn't provide the continued care Marshmallow needed, so she reached out to Fabled Farm.
Marshmallow has stolen the hearts of vets, students, volunteers, visitors, and the senior sheep! Due to her ongoing medical needs she will remain in the Sanctuary Program.
Favorite Things: Marshmallows and animal crackers…she is big on treats
Ritz
Intake Date: 4/28/21
Age: 24 years
Breed: Tennessee Walking Horse
Ritz arrived at Fabled Farm as an extreme starvation case.
He was so weak that he could barely walk off the trailer. The resident sanctuary equines provided comfort for Ritz over the next several months as we implemented a slow refeeding program to help him recover.
Ritz arrived with an injured eye that had to be removed once he was strong enough.
It took a year for Ritz to transform from skin and bones to a healthy, beautiful boy! He now spends his days helping new arrivals settle in and getting love from visitors.
Due to his careful feeding needs he will remain in the Fabled Farm Sanctuary Program.
Favorite Things: Eating, tossing hay on the ground, and getting out of the gate and running around the farm
